OUR STORY

No SME in Kenya is started with the explicit intention of not keeping proper books or not paying taxes. However, many still end up this way, relying on their cash or bank balance to determine the business progress. Generally small businesses in Kenya are cashflow challenged and do not have the required capacity to implement the correct resources to handle their books. This leads to accounting backlog, a lot of manual record keeping  and as the company grows, it exposes the small business many challenges especially when it comes to tax reporting with KRA etc.

Pluspeople Kenya Limited, founded in Kenya in 2010, built Uhasibu, a cloud based accounting package developed specifically for such small and medium companies in East Africa. Uhasibu supports the local legislation and the business work-flows actually used in East Africa.
